Bill Roush has a strong passion for the game of baseball. He has enjoyed playing the game for nearly 42 years. Having played Little League, Jr. Legion, High School and Sr. Legion baseball in the Marion Center Area, Bill's love of the game continues as he plays for the Bob's Pizza entry in the Over-40 League of Indiana. After being a 3-year letterman at Marion Center, Bill was accepted at Bucknell University, but instead chose to play baseball for the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). There he was a 2-year letterman ('85-'86) and chosen as a First Team Relief Pitcher for the All PSAC West Team in 1986. He ranks First in Saves in One Season and First in Career Saves at IUP. During his senior season at IUP, he made 15 appearances for a total of 31 innings without issuing a walk. After leaving IUP, Bill played 1 season for the Long Island Reapers of the Empire State League. He also continued to play locally in Indiana County Leagues on various teams. His coaching skills have included Little League while in high school and most recently coaching 9/10-year-old girls Little League Softball. He is also currently coaching the 12U Dev. Girls Softball Team for Indiana County Explosion here at Play Ball Sports, on which his daughter Kassie plays on. He resides in Indiana with his wife, Doris, and his daughters.
